SEE ALSO: Everybody shut up. Just let us enjoy the kids in the BBC video. It's now been 12 days since the glorious video of Professor Robert Kelly's children gatecrashing his BBC interview went massively viral, and -- after numerous parodies, think pieces and an eventual press conference -- Kelly appears to be returning to life as normal.

An hour later, as promised, Kelly was live on CNN. It was like déjà vu.
Kelly was rocking a badass new tie, but apart from that almost everything was unchanged. The door over his left shoulder looked like it was ready to burst open at any moment.
And then... nothing. No there were no unexpected interruptions, no mentions of the famous interview from the hosts, and -- most tragically of all -- no unexpected appearance from Marion. The door remained closed.
All good things have to end at some point.
We wish you all the best in your future endeavours, BBC dad.
